Tejal - case study aligned ambition.jpeg

From Strong Contribution to Clearer Focus, Visible Progress and Greater Impact.

  • Linkedin

In preparation for more responsibility and future opportunities.

Tejal was already working in a busy role that required creativity, communication and the ability to manage several priorities at once.

Through the Impact Accelerator programme, the focus was on helping her create more structure, protect her attention and communicate her progress more clearly.

The work was not about changing how Tejal worked completely. It was about helping her build on the quality she already delivered and create habits that made her contribution easier to see, trust and build on.

The
situation

Tejal was producing strong work, but her role involved several moving parts.

Ideas, actions, conversations and priorities could all compete for attention during the day.

This mattered most when she was working on larger pieces of work that needed focus, depth and a clear narrative.

There was also an opportunity to strengthen how she communicated progress, especially in 1:1 conversations and moments where her value needed to be more visible.

The focus was not on capability.

It was about helping Tejal create a clearer operating rhythm, so her work became easier to manage, communicate and recognise.

Office

The goal

Tejal wanted to feel more present, improve her communication and increase her efficiency day to day.

She wanted a clearer way to manage ideas, priorities and actions, so important work stayed visible and easier to move forward.

The wider goal was to help Tejal build the focus, consistency and visibility needed for promotion, more responsibility and future opportunities.

The approach

We started by looking at Tejal’s working patterns and the moments where focus became harder to maintain.

A clear theme emerged. Tejal had strong ideas and useful thoughts coming up throughout the day, but not every thought needed immediate action.

From there, we focused on simple tools that helped her capture ideas, organise priorities and return to the work that mattered most.

This included a daily goal tracker, a “not right now” strategy, a post-it note system and a clearer workspace.

Each tool had a clear purpose: to reduce mental clutter, keep priority work visible and make progress easier to communicate.

The shift

The biggest shift was that Tejal moved from holding too much in her mind to creating a clearer system around how she worked.

She became more intentional about where her attention went, what needed action and what could be captured for later.

This helped her move through work with more structure and communicate progress with more confidence.

The shift was not just about being more organised.

It was about creating the focus, clarity and visible momentum needed to support greater responsibility and future progression.

Before and After

Competing attention - Strong work was being done, but ideas and actions could compete for attention.

Clearer focus - Tejal created a simple system to capture thoughts and return to the priority in front of her.

Scattered priorities - Priorities could sit across tabs, conversations or in her head.

Visible priorities - A digital tracker, post-it notes and a second screen helped keep important work visible.

Large tasks - Bigger pieces of work needed focus, but could feel harder to break down.

Manageable progress - Daily goals helped turn larger pieces of work into clear, manageable steps.

Unclear progress - Progress was not always easy to see or explain.

Clearer communication - The tracker helped Tejal communicate progress more clearly in 1:1 conversations.

Digital overload - Digital tools could become another thing to manage.

Quicker capture - Physical post-it notes made it easier to capture, prioritise and refocus quickly.

Interrupted focus - Focus could be affected by environment and interruptions.

Stronger setup - A clearer workspace helped Tejal feel more focused and move through work faster.

Hidden contribution - Tejal wanted her contribution to be more visible as she worked towards promotion.

Visible impact - She became more intentional about communicating her value, progress and impact.

The results

Tejal made clear progress across the programme.

She became more focused, structured and intentional in how she worked.

The biggest result was not just better organisation. It was what that structure helped her do.

She communicated progress more clearly, showed up with more confidence in senior conversations and made her contribution more visible.

Overall, Tejal built the habits that support promotion readiness: clearer focus, stronger communication, greater confidence and more consistent impact.

Built a simple system to keep priority work visible and easier to manage.

Communicated progress more clearly in 1:1 conversations.

Became more confident and natural with senior stakeholders.

Created stronger visibility across the business as her contribution became easier to see.
