From Competing Priorities to Clear, Confident Progress
Deep is a Senior Project Manager at Feedzai, operating in a fast-moving role with complex client challenges, shifting priorities, and important decisions to make. Through the Impact Accelerator programme, he built practical habits and decision-making frameworks that helped him focus his energy, respond to pressure more effectively, and make progress feel more controlled and sustainable.
The
situation
Deep was already delivering in a high-pressure environment, but the pace and volume of work made it difficult to stay on the front foot.
With multiple client expectations, competing priorities, and decisions landing at the same time, it became harder to pause, assess the situation, and identify what needed attention first.
The focus was not on adding more work or creating a rigid productivity system. It was about helping Deep build a more effective way of operating under pressure, so he could protect his energy, make clearer decisions, and increase the impact of the work he was already doing.
This is where the Impact Accelerator does its best work: helping high-performing managers and individual contributors remove the internal friction that limits their impact, so their contribution becomes easier to see, trust, and depend on.

The goal
Deep wanted to work smarter, create more impact, and operate with greater clarity and calm in a demanding role.
More specifically, he wanted to reduce the internal blockers that were slowing him down, so he could show up with more focus, make decisions with greater confidence, and become someone others could consistently rely on.
Three phased approach
Our structured approach that helps you operate with clarity, increase your impact, and make your work consistently visible.
Awareness
The situation:
We started by understanding Deep’s current working environment, the pressure points in his role, and the situations where momentum became harder to maintain, through the Leadership Impact Audit.
This included looking at complex client challenges, competing priorities, and moments where several decisions needed to be made at once.
The goal in this phase was not to judge the behaviour, but to understand the pattern behind it.
The insight:
Through the awareness phase, Deep identified that the real source of friction was not always the complexity of the work itself, but the lack of clarity in the moment.
Once he had a clearer structure, direction, or first step, he was able to feel calmer and move forward more effectively.
This insight became the foundation for the rest of the work: clarity was the route back to momentum.
Alignment
The response:
In the alignment phase, we focused on helping Deep respond to pressure with more intention and clarity.
This included building a morning check-in habit to help him prepare for the day, anticipate potential challenges, and create a clearer starting point before pressure built up.
We also explored how to separate what was within his control from what belonged elsewhere, particularly in complex client situations. This helped Deep protect his energy and focus on the areas where he could create the most value.
The action:
Deep began putting new behaviours into practice through deliberate, focused action.
The main actions included:
-
Using a morning check-in to prepare for important meetings, client challenges, and key decisions
-
Creating simple frameworks to help him approach complex situations more clearly
-
Practising reframing statements when multiple priorities arrived at once
-
Using evidence from previous successful situations to challenge unhelpful assumptions
-
Building a clearer distinction between client-owned challenges and his own responsibilities
This helped Deep move from being pulled into every moving part at once to having a more structured way to pause, assess, and take the next best step.
Integration
The integration phase focused on making the new behaviours more natural, sustainable, and reliable.
By this point, the morning check-in had become a consistent part of Deep’s routine. He was also starting to apply the tools more naturally during demanding moments, rather than relying on prompts or reminders.
The focus became reinforcing the behaviours so they could become part of how he operates day to day, particularly when managing multiple priorities, client pressures, and high-stakes decisions.
This is where the work shifted from learning new tools to embedding a stronger operating rhythm.
The shift
The biggest shift was that Deep moved from reacting to pressure in the moment to approaching complex situations with greater clarity, calm, and control.
He became better able to:
-
Pause before responding
-
Organise competing priorities
-
Identify the next best step
-
Separate what was in his control from what was not
-
Protect his energy during demanding client situations
-
Maintain momentum when multiple challenges appeared at once
Rather than increasing his workload, the work helped Deep reduce friction in how he operated, which allowed him to create more consistent impact throughout the day.

Before and After
Multiple priorities - Balancing complex client work, important decisions, and competing priorities.
Clearer momentum - A clearer structure for organising priorities and moving important work forward.
High-pressure situations - Navigating client expectations, moving parts, and decisions requiring careful judgement.
Calm responses - Practical tools to pause, assess, and respond with greater confidence.
Complex responsibility - Managing several stakeholders, dependencies, and outcomes at once.
Focused energy - Greater clarity on what was within his control and where his energy created most value.
Reactive demands - Working in an environment where priorities could shift quickly throughout the day.
Stronger rhythm - A consistent morning check-in to prepare for key meetings, decisions, and pressure points
The results
Deep made clear and measurable progress across the programme.
He moved from finding it difficult to maintain momentum when several challenges appeared at once, to being able to sit with, work through, and solve demanding situations around 60% of the time.
The most important result was not just that Deep became more productive. It was that he began operating with a stronger rhythm, clearer thinking, and more confidence in the moments that mattered.
He was able to work smarter, create more impact, and operate in a way that was more consistent, trusted, and relied upon.
Built a consistent morning check-in habit which improved his ability to prepare for pressure before it arrived.
Developed clearer decision-making frameworks, which helped him become more confident managing multiple priorities.
Protected his energy more effectively in complex client situations. Which increased consistency in how he moved important work forward.
Created more calm and clarity without increasing workload.
